Pilz, which is the inventor of Safe Automation, was established in 1948 in Germany by Herman Pilz. Pilz became an advanced technology provider as well as product and service developer ever since it launched the first world’s double-hand safety relay in 1968. Today, Pilz is a global player with 25 subsidiaries and many local representatives in 5 continents, providing safety and standard automation product & services all around the world. Pilz performs most of the manufacturing in Germany. In addition to this, Elesta Relay’s GmbH – Switzerland, that produces safety relays as pcb components & sensors, belongs also to Pilz group of companies.
