Objective:

This is an engineering course designed for personnel who will configure, maintain, and program, using functional block diagrams, Ladder Logic, Structured Text and Advanced Function Blocks/Functions in the Yokogawa ProSafe-RS Safety System.

Course Duration:   4 days

Location: Adico Training Center (ATC)/Site

Course Hardware / Software needs:

  • PC With WinXP SP2 OS
  • Prosafe RS R1.03 Software
  • Complete Prosafe RS hardware; Existing ESD is SSC50D with actual V-net /IP Network  connected to CS3000 AFVD10 withand all I/O types
  • Complete Pilot Plant Equipped with all type loops (P, T, F, L)

Participants:

  • Instrument and Control Engineers, maintenance and technical Support personnel.

 

Prerequisite:

  • Participants should preferably be familiar with PLC.

  • Setup and configure ProSafe-RS hardware
  • Perform SCS Simulation Test Function Procedures
  • Program advanced safety function blocks/ladder logic/structured text
  • Program Inter-SCS and Link Transmission Communications
  • Perform SCS Project Application Analysis
  • Identify the naming conventions and hardware layout of the ProSafe RS
  • Access the Maintenance Support Tools & System Status displays.
  • Integration with DCS CS3000
  • Database Maintenance/Validity Check Tools
  • Replace CPU & I/O modules in the ProSafe RS
  • Sequence of Events Recorder/SCS Reports
  • Security/Password Protection Procedures
